Sunday Night Youth

5:30pm - 7:30pm

Includes Supper (bring $2), Worship, Teaching, Fellowship, and Activity
Sunday nights usually go something like this: from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. 7th-12th graders meet in the Worship Center for our primary youth meeting. We begin each meeting with dinner, followed by some fellowship time, worship and announcements, and a lesson. Then we close out with a fun activity.

Wednesday Night Youth

6:15pm - 7:15pm

Includes Prayer time and Ultimate Frisbee (Daylight savings only) or a Lesson or Activity (Standard Time)
After Wednesday Night Supper, we move to the south end of the Worship Center, or the chapel, or the annex depending on what is available and how large the group is etc., etc. - sounds confusing, right…just find Nathan during supper and ask him where we're meeting. Can't wait for the Youth Barn! Anyway, we pray for each other and then head out to play ultimate, except in the winter or in the case of bad weather. Then, we'll have some fellowship, lesson, or activity time inside.

Friday Breakfast

6:30am at Chick-fil-A on Bradley Park Drive

We eat - CHICKEN BISCUITS -, have a 10 minute devotion and pray together.
Disclaimer: Friday Breakfast is applicable only during the school year, and only on those days whereupon school should happen to be in session and only in lieu of other regularly scheduled church activities happening to fall on the same day and at the same time which would be a quite ridiculous occurrence should it happen on a regular basis at 6:30am on Friday morning. IN OTHER WORDS: We only meet on school days!

Sunday School

9:45am - 10:45am in the annex

Our middle school and high school Sunday School classes provide in-depth discussion of God's word and how it relates to our lives. Students will Experience interactive lessons often presented through visual media. Each one includes prayer, group discussion and scripture reading often presented through visual media.

Catapult

Sunday Night Youth with a twist

Catapult is small group time geared toward equipping students to really live their faith. We worship together, and then instead of a large-group lesson, we have smaller groups for each age and gender (middle school guys, high school girls etc.) Catapult uses age-specific, small-group interaction to challenge students to dig deeper into their faith and to truly seek a relationship with Christ. We have 2 Catapult sessions each year following our Souled Out trips.

Trips

Souled Out

Powerful, God-filled, Awesome youth retreats!

In late May or early June we head to the beach and in late December-1st of January up to the mountains to participate in a Souled Out Conference, presented by Jonathan and Lisa Moore Ministries. It's an amazing experience that challenges and encourages students, as Life-changing truths are revealed and the Spirit of God moves among us. Summer Souled Out takes place in early June at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center near Panama City, Florida, and Winter Souled Out closes out the year at the YMCA Blue Ridge Conference Center in Black Mt. North Carolina - skiing and snowboarding included on this trip!

Six-Flags

We take a trip up to Six-Flags in Atlanta each July!

Growth and Serve Opportunities

Accountability Groups

Accountability Groups are designed to strengthen students' daily walk. God never intended us to survive spiritually on our own, or by skipping from Sunday to Sunday and retreat to retreat. There's more to having a REAL faith. We should be talking to HIM daily, we should be reading His word daily, and we should be sharing our hopes and our struggles with our Christian brothers and sisters.

Youth Council - NEW!

The Youth Council empowers students to share their ideas and utilize their gifts. The Council's role is to assist the youth pastor with vision, planning, and leadership for youth activities and events. The council includes one elected representative from each class (7th-12th grades) and 2 adult advisors, but all students are invited to participate! (The elected ones just have the responsibility to be there.)

Youth Worship Team

Youth worship team enables students to express themselves in our worship and to be actively involved in the worshipful elements of each meeting or activity. The Team plans and coordinates our worship time on Sunday nights, the worship aspect of upcoming events, and worship-oriented activities like Youth Sunday and the Barn groundbreaking. The group is open to all youth and meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 3:30 p.m.

SALT

Parents Needed! The SALT team works with the youth pastor to provide adult help and planning for youth meetings and events and also functions as a sounding board for new plans. We meet at 3:30 on the second Sunday of every month.
