Rev. Howard G. White
Rev. Howard Gerrard White was born in 1954 and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. He has degrees from Belhaven College, Scarritt Graduate School for Christian Workers, and Emory University, where he graduated from seminary in December of 1990. Howard was appointed to Pierce Chapel in 1991 as the church’s first full-time pastor. Ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church, Howard loves planning meaningful worship experiences that communicate the love and presence of God. Rev. Lynn Meadows-White
Lynn is a 1991 graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University and is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. A lifelong Methodist, she grew up in the St. Simons United Methodist Church on St. Simons Island, GA. One of her passions is helping people grow toward maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ and helping equip them for whatever ministry God has called them to. Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Roseanna grew up in Buena Vista, Georgia, and has been a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She attended Georgia State University where she earned a degree in Art History. Prior to coming to Pierce Chapel in 2013, Roseanna served as the Executive Director of Coffee Alliance for the Arts where she worked in concert with other board members to educate and promote the arts through various events in Douglas, Georgia. Many of these events included art programs, camps and workshops for children in the community. Roseanna married her high school sweetheart, Kasey Harbuck, in 2007 and their daughter, Rayna, arrived in October 2010. Communications Director & Modern Worship Coordinator
A Columbus, Georgia native, Jessica studied Education at Liberty University and spent many years partnering with local schools before answering the call to serve in ministry. She enjoys using media outreach to communicate the love of Christ and Christian community. Passionate about creating a worship experience in fresh, new ways while honoring tradition, she loves her role as coordinator for our modern worship experience, The Chapel. As a Certified Lay Minister through the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Jessica also serves as a rotational preacher for The Chapel. Director of Youth Ministries
Noah comes to us from Christ Community Church (his home church) and we are grateful to CCC for the valuable training and experience Noah has gained in his years there. For the last 3 of those years, Noah has volunteered as the "right-hand man" of CCC’s full-time youth minister. He has also been working since August as a part-time staff member with Teen Advisors. As Noah writes, he has "a passion for students and seeks to help them know their hope and value in Christ." He is committed to pouring his life into our students to encourage and challenge them to follow Christ with their whole hearts. Noah graduated from Veritas Classical School in 2016 and is currently seeking his online Bachelors in Ministry Leadership through Toccoa Falls College. Noah is engaged to his fiancé Ansley and will be married in 2021. In his free time Noah loves to read and writes songs/poetry.
Debi Van Noy
After serving for 9 years at another church preschool program in Columbus, Debi was excited to join her home church, Pierce Chapel, in 2006 as the Preschool Director. A caretaker by nature with a background in nursing, she is most passionate about caring for her husband and two grown sons, and being “Dida” to her grandchildren. She loves her church and her work here. She joins her wonderful teaching staff in nurturing preschool children and their families with fun learning opportunities in a Christian environment. Choir Director/Service Accompanist
Donna has been involved in church music ministries since her preschool days and, since Junior High, has been employed at her home churches as an accompanist. She truly enjoys her dual role here at Pierce Chapel serving as choir director/service accompanist as she works at equipping folks to lead in worship. In addition to her duties at Pierce Chapel, Donna is proud to be a Registered Nurse. Donna’s greatest blessings come from being married to Randy, mama to Miles and daughter to Julia. Katie has been known as a “Jill of all trades.” She has an Associate Degree of General Studies from Columbus State University, a Bachelor Degree of Graphic Design from The Art Institute, and a Child Development Associate. Her love is in art, design and children. She has worked in our nursery since 1999 and is training to be an AEMT. She married her best friend of 15 years in January, 2016. They are blessed with 4 children.
Dawn received her Bachelors in Accounting and MBA from Columbus State University. She has been working in accounting for 15 years because she loves numbers and how they are accurate and exact. She married Eric Krueger in August 1999 and they had their daughter, Madeleine, in 2002 and their son, Nicholas, in 2005. Her children play sports all over the southeast and her family loves to travel to their sporting events. They are always trying to learn and explore new things. Their favorite thing to do is to make a yearly “bucket list” and see how many they can accomplish. Lisa is an expert at cleaning and has been in this line of work for many years. Prior to starting this role at Pierce Chapel in April of 2013, she worked as the Complete Facilities Manager for 7 years at TSYS. She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren and is a woman of many talents, including childcare and interior design. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and loves to cook. She says, “I feel very blessed to have a job and lucky to work around such wonderful, heart-warming, forgiving people. Working at Pierce Chapel has been a blessing, and I feel closer to the Lord here.”.
Monica, a former preschool teacher, has a degree in Christian education from Central Christian College of the Bible. She is married to a military chaplain, and they are the parents of three children (twin 10th graders and a 4th grader). Monica and her family arrived in Columbus summer of 2019 from Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. She has served as a secretary at former duty stations and has proven to be a true gift to Pierce Chapel by serving in this capacity. Click here to e-Mail Monica.
