Pierce Chapel Service Opportunity

Pierce Chapel, you made a difference in the lives of hundreds of our front-line healthcare workers at Piedmont Midtown and St. Francis with your blessing bags!  We want to challenge you to do it again --- this time for some other front-line servants in our community!

Would you do what you’ve done in the past?  Two things:

  1. Would you sponsor any number of blessing bags at $5/bag?

  2. Would you take time to write cards of encouragement for these officers (using the blank cards available in the Worship Center and under the porte-cochere)?

If you write a check, please make it to Pierce Chapel, or you may go to piercechapel.com/give and contribute via the line called “blessing bags.”

Blank encouragement cards are available under the porte-cochere (Blackmon Road side of the building), and they will be due back no later than Wednesday, April 28.  If everyone does a few, we can bless and encourage the folks who strive to serve us well every day.  Thank you for your desire to make a difference in our community by expressing the love of Christ to these officers!

Did you know that Columbus has a new police chief?  Chief Freddie Blackmon took the reins on November 1, 2020, and has reached out to faith community leaders asking for our help in building stronger relationships between our police force and our community.  A couple of months ago as we were hearing about rising numbers of murders in Columbus, our staff felt prompted to reach out to encourage Chief Blackmon and all the officers who serve on patrol and in investigative services.  That numbers 300 officers.
